Aaron was born in Adelaide, Australia 1979. He received his first camera at the young age of 5 and spent his childhood years enthusiastically taking photographs of nature at every possible occasion. His parents were avid travellers frequenting the remote parts of Australia. These early childhood holidays allowed him to experience the rawest and rural parts of the Australian outback, capturing his heart and ignited his passion for the photographic art form. His fondest memories are those spent capturing images through-out remote parts of Alice Springs, Kakadu and Flinders Ranges.
During his teenage years he dared to dream about becoming a photographer of wildlife and nature. His enthusiasm and passion for the art form has driven him to grow and nurture into his own style over the last 10 years and his dream of becoming an internationally acclaimed and award winning professional photographer is now a reality.
Aaron is an AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography) member and specialises in natural and urban landscapes including commercial and residential architecture. His art and landscape work is exhibited nationally and can be seen in Adelaide Melbourne and Sydney. Aaron's work has received national and international awards and is held in public and private collections.
Aaron states, The intent is straightforward - my photographs are of scenes taken to arouse interest, conversation, to stir you, to make you wonder. I want to capture it as though you had just walked into the scene - like a movie, paused on a dramatic moment– you know something is about to happen but you don’t know what. The scene is full of drama and mystery, it's full of energy and stillness at the same precise moment and it beckons you to fill in the gaps; create the story or finish it. “What is about to happen?, What has just happened?” My photograph, becomes your story.
Like most photographers Aaron loves travelling abroad to explore new landscapes offering something different from Australia, but finds his most satisfying work in capturing Australian landscapes in his own unique way.
