Jane Burbidge

“I started producing ceramics in 1997 when I attended TAFE and gained Certificate I & II in Art Practice, followed by a Bachelor of Applied Arts- Ceramics & Glass at Uni SA, and then a two year associateship with JamFactory Ceramic Department. Being a versatile ceramist I utilize a number of production and firing methods and various clay bodies to produce a wide range of work, from delicate porcelain forms to large scale garden sculptures. Through exhibition work I tend to be a story teller and encrypt many layers of subtle information into the form with the use of imagery and textures.”
