Nicole Ayliffe — Australian Glass Artist (Adelaide)

Luminous, hand-blown glass that captures space and light.

Based in Adelaide, Nicole Ayliffe works from JamFactory and the Warehouse Studio she co-founded in Edwardstown. A UniSA First Class Honours graduate, Nicole is known for transparent forms that use refraction to create three-dimensional “optical” landscapes—inspired by coastlines, repeated lines in nature and the quiet rhythm of place.

Her work appears in major collections including Parliament House (Canberra), the National Glass Collection (Wagga Wagga), Toledo Museum of Art (USA) and institutions in the UK and Germany. She has been recognised in prizes such as Ranamok, the Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize, and Young Glass (Ebeltoft, Denmark), with features in New Glass Review 27 & 28. Alongside exhibition pieces, Nicole designs contemporary functional glassware—bright, minimalist forms made to enhance everyday spaces.
