Bailey Donovan
Adelaide-based emerging artist, Bailey Donovan, works predominantly in blown glass. Bailey studied under the tutelage and guidance of Gabriella Bisetto at the University of South Australia, as well as studying glass abroad in Venice, and under various glass artists at the Corning Museum of Glass and JamFactory.
Bailey aims to deepen his understanding of glass and break the limits of the material. Working as a production-based artist, Bailey creates colourful patterned vessels influenced by everyday textiles and sweets.
By continuing to work as a production-based artist, Bailey combines the ideas of design and functionality with the contemporary socio-cultural influences that surround him to create powerful design-based works.
