We create custom dog and cat sculptures in Australia, individually handcrafted in ceramic by celebrated Australian artist Elodie Barker. Each sculpture is made to thoughtfully recreate a beloved pet — whether commissioned as a heartfelt pet memorial or a joyful celebration of a much-loved companion.

For over 20 years, Elodie Barker has been recognised as one of Australia’s most respected ceramic artists, with her work collected and admired both nationally and internationally. Contemporary Co has proudly represented Elodie’s work for over two decades, working closely with her to bring meaningful, Australian-made art to collectors and clients around the world.

Every custom pet sculpture is individually hand-sculpted — no moulds, no mass production — ensuring each piece is entirely one of a kind. Elodie carefully captures your dog or cat’s unique markings, posture, and expression, creating a ceramic artwork that reflects their personality and spirit.

Creating Your Custom Pet Sculpture

A simple, thoughtful process — guided every step of the way.

Step 1 — Choose Your Size & Place Your Order
Select the size that feels right for you.
Our most popular choice is Medium (22–23 cm, nose to tail) — a beautiful, balanced size for display and gifting. Once your order is placed, we’ll guide you through the next steps with care.

Step 2 — Share Your Photos
Please email 4–5 clear photographs of your dog to hello@contemporaryco.com.au including: front, side and back view If possible, a top view or close-up detail. These images allow Elodie to thoughtfully recreate your pet’s unique markings, posture, and expression — ensuring each sculpture feels personal and true to character.

A Gentle Note
For some clients, these sculptures are commissioned to celebrate a much-loved companion.
For others, they are created in memory.
If gathering photographs feels difficult for any reason, please don’t worry — simply share what you have. Elodie is incredibly intuitive and experienced, and can beautifully recreate your pet from just a few meaningful details.

Step 3 — Creation & Timing
Each sculpture is individually hand-made in Australia and entirely one of a kind.
Please allow approximately 4–5 weeks for completion.
To assist with email delivery, we recommend keeping image files under 1 MB where possible.
